Palliative & Hospice Care

Our commitment is rooted in our belief in the sanctity of each life and the hope of eternity. Pastoral Care is available to help with end of life decisions. We are present, alongside nursing, with prayer, sacraments and ritual according to personal wishes. We do this for the support of the resident, as well as the support of the family. Past the end of life, we plan a yearly Mass of Remembrance and provide ongoing bereavement support.

Gracious God, we gather this day in your presence to explore ways that we may better serve the particular needs of those who are dying. Together we ask you to bless us -

With openness and compassion for this work;
With confidence in ourselves and in your grace;
With patience to allow the unfolding of things in their own time;
With awareness of each person's uniqueness and of your constant call To them and to us.
Bless us-

With steadfastness;
With wisdom to act in the best interest of each person we serve.
We ask all these things in your name.
