St. Mary Health Care is working with Walgreens Pharmacy on Lincoln Street in Worcester. You can go to Walgreens to get your $10 flu vaccine OR if you’re at SMHC, grab a voucher!

New ‘Namaste Room’ Under Construction

This is a multisensory program for people with Alzheimer’s to enhance the quality of life with sensory based activity and interaction. This program, located on the 3rd floor Specialty Care Unit, will offer a tranquil place for residents to unwind and provide an atmosphere of trust and relaxation.

Imagine a room filled with soft lighting, gentle music and the scent of lavender and chamomile wafting in the air. Snuggle up in a comfortable recliner and be tucked in with a soft warm quilt with gentle voices and music to soothe you. This is just an example of some new approaches we are working on to meet the social and recreational needs of people with dementia.
